Descripción

Flydubai Flight 1073 was cruising from Dubai to Tel Aviv when a violent emergency erupted inside the cockpit. The aircraft suddenly entered a terrifying rapid descent, an emergency was declared, and passengers realized something was seriously wrong. In this episode, Captain Steeeve breaks down what happened aboard FZ1073 from a pilot’s perspective — but this time, we also hear directly from a passenger who was on the airplane and helped during the emergency inside the cockpit. He tells us what he saw, how passengers responded, and what was happening as they fought to regain control of the situation. Current reporting says the captain was attacked inside the cockpit before the aircraft rapidly lost thousands of feet of altitude. The injured captain was able to get the cockpit opened, allowing others aboard to intervene, and the airplane was eventually stabilized and diverted safely to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Authorities are still investigating exactly what happened and the motive behind the attack. Captain Steeeve walks through the flight data, cockpit procedures, the actions of the pilots and passengers, and just how serious this situation became. This is an extraordinary firsthand account of an aviation emergency that could have ended very differently.
