My World is Writing a Book About Me

A lone Minecraft player blogging his world named Charlie encounters a mysterious bookshelf that writes to him every day. All content displayed here is fictional. Story and video were written, created, edited, and produced by Namentix. All builds seen in the video are by Namentix. Another 2 month long wait….really sorry everybody. But I hope the pay off was worth it this time around. Life got super busy but I'd like to thank all the new people I've met, you really returned my spark to me and reminded me why I do any of this at all. A couple things: Yes, this is an adaptation of Robert W. Chambers' King in Yellow short stories. Yes, an AMAZING Minecraft ARG already exists about this character, however, 1. I love the Wifies adaptation, so no treading on that already. It’s a totally unique and different take 2. This is a public domain character 3. I wanted to take a shot at Hastur/KIY since I am also building a Cthulhu Mythos. This version is supposed to be much closer to Chambers’ version than Lovecraft’s, and (IMO) feels much different from the Wifies video. As always, though, I’d be open to hear what you would’ve wanted to see that could’ve differentiated it deeper for you. Charlie is me in many ways. Insecure, lonely, frightened, and more likely to accept something fake over something real. This story helped me cope with my own stubbornness a lot, and the reason it took so incredibly long to produce was making sure I perfected this character. Auth definitely came secondary, but I think their stories mirror each other in such a way that they are both aspects of me. These builds were a lot of fun to produce, that double sun and crazy moon texture drove me crazy, maybe in some way I am also Lost, Dim, Lost in Carcosa now. This is a much more slow burn, narrative and character driven story than my other videos. I hope it still hits just as hard and you love it just as much! This video all around is a gamble; it shares the same inspo from an extremely popular ARG, its very long, and its very dialogue/character heavy. I am crossing my fingers that it goes well, but I have a feeling it will :) Almost forgot- that gate and sigil look familiar don't they? Where have we seen those before in my videos? :thinker: Anyway, I loved making this. Even through all the blood, sweat, and tears it took. Thank you so much for your love and support.
