Behind The GREATEST Call In NFL History 🥶🏈

One of the GREATEST moments in NFL history, and one of the most ICONIC calls in sports broadcasting history. When legendary NFL announcer Joe Buck was asked about his favorite call of all time, the Minneapolis Miracle immediately came to mind. On January 14, 2018, the Minnesota Vikings faced the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs, producing one of the most unforgettable finishes football has ever witnessed. With just 10 seconds remaining, the Vikings trailed 24-23, and quarterback Case Keenum needed a miracle to keep Minnesota's Super Bowl dreams alive. What happened next became NFL LEGEND. Keenum launched a desperate pass toward Stefon Diggs, who made an incredible leaping catch along the sideline before Saints safety Marcus Williams missed the tackle, leaving Diggs with nothing but open field. The result? A 61-yard walk-off touchdown, a stunning 29-24 Vikings victory, and Joe Buck's legendary “DIGGS! SIDELINE! TOUCHDOWN! UNBELIEVABLE!” A call that instantly became part of football history. From the perspectives of Vikings and Saints players who experienced the heartbreak and euphoria firsthand to Buck reliving the unforgettable broadcast, the Minneapolis Miracle remains one of the most emotional and shocking moments in NFL playoff history. The iconic Stefon Diggs touchdown, Case Keenum's miracle throw, the eruption inside U.S. Bank Stadium, and the unforgettable celebration created a moment that will live forever in Minnesota Vikings history. Nearly a decade later, the Minneapolis Miracle is still remembered as one of the greatest NFL plays, game-winning touchdowns, playoff upsets, and sports commentary moments of all time. DIGGS.
