Descrição

Recent sightings of prominent tech executives using Android phones have revived a familiar question online: why would billionaires choose a Samsung device when they could buy any iPhone? Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was seen demonstrating an AI feature on what was identified as a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra in a September interview. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has also been photographed using a Samsung foldable phone. A public appearance, however, cannot establish which device either executive uses as their only or primary phone. For Zuckerberg, there is a business reason behind his interest in Android. In an earlier interview, he said he liked Samsung phones and pointed out that most people using his company’s products worldwide were on Android. Using those devices helps leaders understand how services such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp work for a large share of their customers. The scale of Android also matters in India. Recent mobile operating system figures put Android above 90% in the Indian market. Globally, its share is around two-thirds to seven-tenths, depending on the period and how it is measured. That makes “70% of everyone on Earth uses Android” an overstatement: the percentage refers to a mobile phone market measure, not the entire human population. These sightings do not prove that tech CEOs have rejected the iPhone or that Android is the best choice for every buyer. They do show why phones used by ordinary customers remain relevant even to the people running some of the world’s biggest technology companies. You said that 75% of people use Android, which is true. But don’t forget that many Android users use phones that cost under ₹10,000–₹20,000. So, many of these people aren’t Android users by choice, but because of मजबूरी
