O Lacre do Seu Remédio EXISTE por 7 Mortes

Em setembro de 1982, sete pessoas morreram em Chicago em quatro dias. Cidades, hospitais e legistas diferentes. Nenhum sistema cruzava aqueles registros. Quem fez o cruzamento foram dois bombeiros de folga, pelo telefone. Os boletins de ambulância dos dois quartéis tinham uma palavra em comum: Tylenol. Daí em diante, os dados fizeram o trabalho: → 4 de 44 cápsulas com cianeto: 9% de chance de morte por cápsula → Lotes diferentes, duas fábricas a mais de 2.000 km uma da outra, mortes só em Chicago: a hipótese de falha industrial caiu → 31 milhões de frascos recolhidos, US$ 100 milhões em produto, para 8 frascos envenenados O crime nunca foi resolvido. Mas foi esse caso que criou o lacre de segurança dos remédios e que está na base da farmacovigilância, a detecção de sinal que a Anvisa faz hoje com o VigiMed.
