マグネットの反発を利用した仕組みは以前から考えていて、実用的にはラッチなどに使えるのではないかと思っていました。 ただ反発させるだけではダボが抜けてしまうため、今回は側面にルーターで溝を加工し、短く切った釘をストッパーとして打ち込んでいます。 今回は実用可能なアイデアかを試すテストだったので木製のダボを使いましたが、もう少し直径の細い金属の丸棒などにすれば、かなり実用的になると思います。ラッチだけでなく、扉のピボットヒンジなどにも応用できそうです。 他にも使い道を思いついたら、ぜひ教えてください。Mostrar tudo

Excellent design. But, you need equal number of magnets on each side, or else the single magnet will degausse = lose it magnetism fairly quickly.

I’ve been thinking about a mechanism using the repelling force of magnets for a while, and I thought it could be useful for something like a latch. Simply using magnetic repulsion would allow the dowel to fall out, so this time I routed a small slot from the side and added a short piece of nail as a stopper. Since this was just a test to see whether the idea could be practical, I used a wooden dowel. But with a thinner metal rod, I think it could become much more practical. It could also be used not only for latches, but for things like pivot hinges on doors. If you can think of any other u
