Fun fact of how some oysters get pearls: Oysters are surrounded by sand, so sometimes 1 teeny tiny grain of sand gets stuck in the oyster. Since oysters feel uncomfortable when there is sand stuck in it, they use a type of thing they produce called nacre to make the oyster itself (the thing you can eat from an oyster) slimy. And overtime, the oyster uses the stuff to coat the grain of sand, and once the grain of sand is finally coated, you have a pearl. (Hope this answers any questions! :]) Edit: tysm for the likes! I have never gotten so many likes this fast tho :0
