Description
Queen Elizabeth I became famous for her striking white makeup, elaborate hairstyles, and carefully constructed royal appearance, but her face changed dramatically as she grew older. After surviving smallpox, she was left with facial scarring and increasingly relied on heavy cosmetics to create the flawless image expected of a powerful queen. As the years passed, layers of white face paint, rouge, and other cosmetics became an important part of her public appearance, even as they could no longer completely hide the effects of age. This video follows the transformation of Elizabeth’s appearance through different stages of her life, from the young queen to the heavily made-up monarch of her later years, offering a fascinating look at beauty standards, royal image-making, and how Elizabeth presented herself until her death in 1603. #queenelizabethi #elizabethi #tudorhistory #elizabethanera #historicalbeauty #beautystandards #history #historyfacts #royalhistory #historicalfashion #makeuphistory #womenshistory #arthistory #historyshorts #artlovers #historia #viral #fyp #historyfactsTout afficher

She used to love sugary treats and would not take dental care seriously mainly because it was a taboo in that era and most of the cosmetics including the face paint and lipsticks contained mercury or lead which eventually poisoned her and left her with tooth decay in her final days... beauty truly comes with a price
