Description
Did this mechanic just ruin his entire transmission?! 🤬⚙️ If you want to start a massive war in the comment section, post a video of a motorcycle clutch install! Unlike car clutches that use one massive dry disc, motorcycles use a "wet clutch" system made of dozens of alternating metal and friction plates. In this video, the mechanic uses their bare hands to stack the metal plates, lining up all the tabs perfectly into the deep grooves of the clutch basket. But then, they do something that makes car mechanics furious! They take the very last friction plate and deliberately twist it, locking it into a completely different, shallow groove on the outside of the basket! DIYers swear this is a massive mistake that will instantly burn up the clutch and explode the transmission, but is it actually a secret factory hack?!
