Description
Chinese hospitals are taking medical technology to an entirely different level. Imagine an entire robotic railway network running above hospital corridors and automatically delivering medicines to the right departments. This system is called Electric Track Vehicle (ETV). It uses ceiling-mounted tracks to transport medical supplies across massive hospital buildings. Some installations can stretch nearly 3 miles and operate more than 200 autonomous delivery robots at the same time. The process is almost completely automated. When a doctor places an order the prescribed medicines are automatically sent onto conveyor belts. The system sorts them according to their destination and loads them into delivery containers. Small electric vehicles then carry those containers through the ceiling-mounted railway network. A central computer coordinates the robots and manages their routes. Onboard sensors help them detect obstacles and avoid collisions. The system can also use automated lifts to move supplies between different floors. Some medicine deliveries can be completed in under 60 seconds. What's even more interesting is that this technology originated in Switzerland. But China has taken it to another level by installing these automated logistics networks across large hospital facilities. This is what the future of hospital automation looks like. A hospital where robots handle the transportation of medicines while medical staff can focus more on patient care. #ElectricTrackVehicle #ETV #ChinaHospitals #ChinaTechnology #HospitalAutomation #MedicalRobotics #Robotics #AutomatedLogistics #Engineering #MechanicalEngineering #IndustrialAutomation #AutomationTechnology #ArtificialIntelligence #SmartHospitals #MedicalTechnology #FutureTechnology #Innovation #Technology #EngineeringDesign #RoboticSystems
