For those who don’t know: The woman was Sheila Seleoane, a 58-year-old medical secretary whose skeletal remains were found in her Peckham, south London apartment in February 2022 police forced entry into her apartment and found her skeleton. People were complaining about a foul smell too

These kinds of situations are common in Japan,people there are so lonely and alone that they die alone in their own apartment and by the time people knows the body is already rotten and smelly,this is called 'kodokushi' which means 'lonely death' or 'solitary death' in japanese
