Auf dem Bahnrad gibt es keine Bremsen, keine Schaltung und keinen Freilauf. Das war für mich erst einmal gewöhnungsbedürftig. Robert hat mir erklärt, dass sich die Pedale während der Fahrt ständig mitdrehen. Einfach die Beine stillhalten und ausrollen, wie man es vom normalen Fahrrad kennt, funktioniert hier nicht. Um langsamer zu werden, muss man dem Antrieb kontrolliert entgegenwirken.
