Karl Bushby left his mom's house in 1998 and promised her he wouldn't come back until he walked around the entire planet, with no cars, no boats and no planes. His plan was to walk from the very bottom of South America back home to England in 12 years. But it ended up taking him 28 years. First he had to survive the deadliest jungle on Earth. Then he walked across a frozen ocean into Russia, and got arrested the second he arrived. Then he got trapped in Kazakhstan, with a whole sea blocking his way. So he swam it, for 31 days.
